4th-ranked Iowa wins 42-24 over Indiana, despite 5 INT by QB Ricky Stanzi
Iowa notches a blowout win against Indiana, proving that they're the 4th best team in the country. Just kidding... kinda.

Ricky Stanzi was about as bad as anyone could possibly be for the first 3 quarters of the football game, and ended up throwing 5 interceptions. Somehow, though, Iowa managed to overcome Stanzi's terrible play and stay in the game until the end. They broke out for 28 points in the 4th quarter to not only seal the victory, but miraculously cover the 17.5-point spread.

There were definitely some questionable calls by the referees. And by questionable, I mean they literally took away 2 touchdowns from Indiana. On one of them, the Hoosiers scored on the bext play, so it didn't matter on the scoreboard, but I'm sure it was discouraging for them to know that they were battling the refs, as well.

Iowa will probably maintain their #4 spot in the country, but if you think they'll stay there through the end of the year, don't hold your breath. This team seems to play with fire every week. At some point, theyll catch a loss.

If Iowa wins at the Horseshoe next weekend, and remain undefeated, then they deserve to go to Paadena, and play for the National Championship.
Actually, they would just deserve to be in a playoff of some sort.  Since that doesn't exsist, they'll end up in Pasadena playing the winner of the Oregon/USC game while Florida/Alabama and Texas play for the national title.  And ultimately, we'll still have no real clue about who the best team in the nation was because the whole system is a huge pile of crap.

I know it would never happen but if USC were to go into Eugene tonight and blow out Oregon, I wouldnt have any problem with a 1 loss USC team leapfrogging an undefeated Iowa team

man as a big 10 fan i really want to agree with you. but if at the end of the season we have iowa, florida , boise state, texas, t.c.u. all undefeated, then that changes things a bit. not to mention there are some championship caliber teams that will have only 1 loss. i know your gonna want to discuss strength of schedule , and again as a big 10 fan iowa is towards the top on that. boise state is consistently good , why after all these years shouldn't they get a shot?....because the b.c.s. is garbage, they dictate who goes. iowa , boise state, t.c.u , don't have chance unless b.c.s favorites like florida, texas, or u.s.c.to name a couple collapse . i really hope i'm wrong , but iowa just doesn't bring in enough money to get picked first.

I can't agree with that at all due to the fact that they've trailed in 8 of their 9 games this year.  They've done this every week.

They'd be in the top three in the BCS right now if it weren't for a poor game at home against Northern Iowa.  That performance knocked them out of the top 25, so they had to start all over making their way to the top.

They've had impressive road wins, and have shown they can play with anyone.  I agree with gobigblue, they deserve a shot, but if the bcs ranking has them number 3, they'll go to the Rose bowl.  And they can point to the opening game as the reason why.

The wind was hellatious!!!  In the 3rd while Iowa was going into the wind Stanzi had 4 of his 5 INT's, but in the 4th while going with the wind he looked like Joe Montana throwing for 2 TD's!!

Not gonna happen..... I'd bet my unborn child that Oregon wins.  Chip Kelly has been going to every Duck from southern California asking if they got a scholarship offer from USC and he's been playing the USC fight song at the beginning of every practice this week.  I'm not one to make guarantee's, but I'll go out on a limb for the first time in my life and guarantee that Oregon wins tonight!!

If the Pac 10 is the #4 conference, then who is #2 and #3...... I sure hope you're not implying that the Big XII and the Big 10 are better than the Pac 10!?!

I know you're a Big 10 honk, and you want to pretend that they're still a great conference, but there's no way it's better than the Pac 10. You honestly think that Iowa's a better team than USC?

I'll agree that the Big 12 is better, but the Big 10 is right there with the ACC and Big East, imo.

If Iowa ends up with a BCS game, Big Ten fans should hope that they draw Cincinnati or TCU.  Nobody should want to see Iowa against a powerhouse team.  I say that as a person who loves the Big Ten.

I am from Iowa, and a Hawkeye fan. I am enjoying winning, but this team has certainly given me a lot of gray hairs in the process LOL. I really don't feel like this team is as good as some people think, and that might unfortunately be found out if the Hawks end up in a BCS bowl.

No, only Oklahoma and Ok State, and that's expected.
Texas won, though making it so the Big 12 won one of the BCS bowls and so did the SEC.
