Our pals over at Gunaxin provided us a preview of the top seven riders not named Lance Armstrong in this year's Tour de France. We thought a good follow-up would be an intro on what the race is all about, who the major riders and teams are, who that old dude in the devil costume is, and what to look for should you find yourself in a French sports bar over the next two weeks.
OK, here's the deal on the Tour Devil. His real name is Dieter "Didi" Senft and he has been attending the tour dressed in a red devil costume since 1993. He is also an inventor, owning the Guiness record for the world's largest bicycle. And, yes, he's German and obviously a little insane.
