Frankie Edgar's reign as lightweight champion came to an end on Saturday night in Japan when former WEC champion Benson Henderson won their main event fight by unanimous decision.

Also on the card, Ryan Bader defeated Quinton Jackson by unanimous decision, Mark Hunt KO'd Cheick Kong with punches and Jake Shields defeated Yoshihiro Akiyama by unanimous decision.  The shocker of the night went to Tim Boestch, who was absolutely outclassed in the first two rounds of his fight with Yushin Okami.  However, in the final round, Boestch caught Okami with some huge shots that ended the fight less then a minute into the round.  Hatsu Hioki defeated Bart Palaszewski by unanimous decision and Anthony Pettis opened the PPV with a knockout win over Joe Lauzon

The UFC's next event is in Australia this Friday night on FX with Thaigo Alves and Martin Kampmann as the headliner
