AJ Burnett gets suspended 6 games for throwing at Nelson Cruz
AJ Burnett can take a seat for 6 games after throwing at Rangers player Nelson Cruz.
AJ Burnett was suspended for 6 games for throwing at Nelson Cruz...interesting that Ranger's pitcher Vincente Padilla suffered no consequence for hucking multiple balls at Mark Teixeira - other than sucking, of course.

This also translates into only one missed start for Burnett. Gotta love those MLB suspensions.

this is bull crap Padilla hit Texiara twice in that game
I agree that Padilla should be suspended. And while they are at it I would appreciate it if they could go ahead and get rid of him (although the Rangers are in the process of doing that by placing him on waivers).

I think the main diff though is that Padilla didn't throw at the head - not saying it is right but that is probably the reason.

I hate the Yankees, and even I think they got shortchanged here.

totally biased... and padilla's throws come straight from the top... The front office wanted him to go after him. He was called just that day and immediately started going after tex... I'm happy the Yanks ended up making it worth it after Tex destroyed Kinsler on the DP turn and the they ended up working them over for the rest of the inning.Let AJ have his day off, get some rest, while the yanks continue to demolish everyone right now.

I have seen more *Aiming to Hit* this year than I can remember seeing in quite a while!  I've also seen more pitchers AND batters hit.  I realize it's a tactic but when they aim near the head, those SHOULD be fighting words.  One wrong hit and I'm sorry may be too dang late!  I don't know any pitcher in the history of baseball who pitches with 100% control.  I do think they should be equal opportunity suspensions and fines, but getting near the head should bring stronger measures in both!

Yeah, like the Yankees have so much to cry and gripe about with their 26 titles and elevendy billion dollar payroll. Give me a break. After decades of being unfair to the rest of baseball with their ludicrious payroll, now the Yankess are gonna cry "unfair" because Burnett got suspended and Padilla didn't? What a joke. This is one of the reasons why people everywhere hate the Yankees.

I mean, it's the Rangers for crissakes. Is it really gonna kill you if this one time the Rangers got one over on the Yankees?

Sounds as if this matter should be looked into further with a better out come of suspentions! All is not fair in baseball when it comes to who pays for their mistakes and who does not!
