College basketball starts Monday.
There are four official regular season games, and though none will be as memorable as Kentucky-Duke '92, they'll count more than Syracuse-LeMoyne '09.
When we all convene in Indianapolis five months hence for the Final Four, we'll be watching these teams:
Kansas. The Jayhawks open with a greater advantage over the competition than Carolina carried into last season.
Kentucky. They've got to improve fast, but with three players likely headed for the NBA draft—freshmen John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins, junior Patrick Patterson—what choice do they have?
Michigan State. Are the Spartans built to win it all, or just to come close?
North Carolina. Reloading this quickly would represent a major achievement.
