After hitting that home run amongst a sea of boos (and not the good kind of sea of booze), A-Rod proved that it didn't really matter what anyone thought and he was going to prove everyone wrong.  Embracing the once mysterious cousin of which most everyone thought was made up might also be a little bit of A-Rod saying f#$% you to everyone.  Roided or not, he is arguably the most talented overall player (and definitely hitter) there is in the league, and he will be on a mission to clear his name.  After all, there are 103 guys who won't be subjected to the kind of trouble and BS that A-Rod will be.  Why his name was released may never be known, but the fact that he is so talented may have made him the undeserved fall guy.
