Allen Iverson might be the answer for the Magic after Jameer Nelson's injury

Throughout the offseason, and ever since the Grizzlies agreed to let him go, rumors have been swirling wildly around Allen Iverson. The latest suggestion is from Orlando Sentinel writer George Diaz, who says that the Magic should pick him up to replace Jameer Nelson while he sits out 4-6 weeks for arthroscopic knee surgery.

I realize Nelson is injury-prone, and it might be a good idea to get a capable backup who can start in a pinch... but Iverson? Really? What happens when Nelson comes back? Iverson definitely won't be happy with the idea of being a backup again, but starting him over Nelson would be insanity.

I love the idea of Allen Iverson, Vince Carter and Dwight Howard on the same team... but only if they were all in their prime. This, on the other hand, would just be a disaster waiting to happen.
