Allen Iverson tells Memphis Grizzlies he would like to play for them

Allen Iverson has told the Grizzlies that he's interested in playing for them. The Grizzlies, like you and me, are like WTF?

Allen Iverson sure has fallen quite a bit these last few years, but I didn't think it was quite this bad. Iverson has through representatives told the Grizzlies he would like to play in Memphis, an NBA source said Thursday.

It is unknown what amount of money Iverson is seeking or what the Grizzlies would be willing to pay.

This would just be weird beyond belief to Iverson in Memphis, but the truth is, his unwillingness to come off the bench in Detroit, combined with the fact that he really isn't anywhere near as good as he used to be, likely means he's pretty desperate to sign anywhere. We'll see what the Grizzlies do.

3	Aside from being a great city, nobody wants to play in Memphis. It sounds like someone is looking for their retirement contract. He can score 25 points a night on a bad team, and noone will care.

1	It just may work in Iverson's favor. He would be the veteran they may not need but will help them find there game. The team is young and haven't really been the talk of a conversation since Big Country, White Chocolate and Stromile. Ok yeah and Bibby but thats after J. Will. Sign him as a point guard and let him play his game. They may even finish the season as a 500 team.

Mane Memphis needs to make it happen for the simple fact that A.I. is gonna bring in that bread. People want 2 see A..I. Memphis is a city full of niggaz . Almost all black ...It would be like Vick in Atlanta..He would have a following that u wouldn't believe...He's gone sale jerseys, tickets, and help put Conley on game and other good young players develope...What veterans do they have? Greg Bucckner, Darius Miles? Memphis has been doing a fantastic job putting pieces together the past couple years...just think...u got OJ Mayo and Rudy Gay ballin...then u got Zach Randolph hoopin and being on the floor and then u got Thabeet..even if he didn't score it wouldn't matter cause nuttin but scoreres would be on the floor...Then u was to add AI...with Conley who is getting better and better..Then u got M. Gasol who made the all rookie team...Plus Carroll and Sam young who both look like they 30...Memphis will be hell next year.
