Bobby Abreu was one of the biggest reasons for the Angels' success this year, and they've decided to keep him around for at least another 2 years, signing him to a deal that lasts through 2011, with a team option in 2012. Terms of the deal have not been released, but Abreu is one of the first to re-sign this year, after being one of the last free agents to sign last year.
Great signing in the beginning and even better job for extending it! A .300 hitter and though he hit 19 homeruns, he knocked in over 100 runs, that is a ratio of 5 RBI to every homerun, unprecedented to any hitter with over 100 RBI, they average about 3.5, so this man knocks them in without having to clear the fence, which means more clutch than an engine
Now time to focus on Lackey, Figgins, Oliver, Vlad, and Escobar in that order. Man what an interesting and potentially extremely disappointing offseason this can be as an Angels fan.
