Is THAT what Porter was trying to do? All I could decipher from the sentence fragments he was spitting out was something to do with him owning Pit Bulls and not being able to bring them on planes like Cocker Spaniels.
Joey Porter might be a good football player, but oh, so dumb.
If I remember correctly Joey Porter's pit bulls escaped and killed his neighbor's quarter horse a few years back. Not positive about this part but I think I heard Porter has yet to pay restitution for this. Apparently Porter also views this behavior as fine which is why I'm not the least bit surprised to see this.

That is correct. At least that his rottweiler and bullmastiff escaped and killed a miniature horse. So Porter's obviously an expert on the subject.

It was a pit and a mastiff, I had to look into it more. Anyways I'm sure it was an honest mistake. The dogs got loose, saw the mini horse, maybe thought it was a dog, and attacked. Clearly it was a case of mistaken identity. His dogs are only trained to attack other dogs. Here's the link to the story for those interested. www.post-gazette.com/pg/06264/723752-54.stm
There is NO justification for dog fighting or training dogs to fight. I get that they got out and maybe thought that the horse was a dog - they will defend territory from other animals - but even training them to fight is inexcusable. Dog breeds such as rottweilers and mastifs get such bad reputations from people who do stuff like dog fighting that they are now BANNED in some counties in some states, even though some raise them to be wonderful family pets and companions. Its sick to even think its ok to defend people who do this....
I love my pets and can't imagine what those dogs have been through for this kind of entertainment.
