They blew it for themselves when they turned down the bid to play Boise St. Thats as close to the big time as they were gonna get this season. Problem is, I think they knew that they were overmatched against Boise, and were hoping to win their conference title and improve their rank so that they could play against a team with more prestige so it wouldn't be so embarrassing to them when they lost in the bowl game. Fortunately for us, Buffalo spared us the dramatics, and now Ball St will play in a mid level bowl game against a mid level opponent who they will still be overmatched against, and likely finish the season with 2 losses. Still not a bad season, considering their conference and opposition level of play this season.
