Bill Callahan rejects my homeboy, Danny Woodhead when he coached for Nebraska~Now both are with the NY Jets! Photo

Isn't irony just the best revenge? Coach Callahan turned down Danny Woodhead as a football recruit to the University of Nebraska. One of his reasons was that Danny was too short. We locals knew that Danny was better than that and that one day he would make it big. After setting all kinds of records at Chadron State College and winning the most prestigious Division II award, the Harlon Hill Trophy, we were right. Congratulations Danny from your proud hometown, North Platte, Nebraska!
