Bill Walton retires from broadcasting
There is a God. Bill Walton retires from broadcasting.
READ MORE:
I don't like Bill Walton at all. So this is great news. He's retiring from broadcasting.

No longer will we have to hear Walton's awful "Throw it down, big man!" or have to hear him go off on leaving your feet before passing or hear him praise Luke for being the 8th man on the Lakers.

It's a good day, my friends.

I appreciate that Walton overcame the stuttering problem he had, but unfortunately, he took that as license to overstate everything.  Nobody took a 20 word issue and turned into a 200 word mess like this guy.

Liked him better as a player than an analyst.

Thom Brennaman, Joe Morgan, Chip Caray, Dick Vitale, Chris Berman, Mike Patrick, Tim McCarver, Billy Packer, and Cris Collinsworth - You're next.

(sorry for any I forgot...except Joe Buck, I can survive those.)

Never let it be said that the man ever exaggerated:

“John Stockton is one of the true marvels, not just of basketball, or in America, but in the history of Western Civilization!”

Has he even been on ESPN since he had that back surgery a couple years ago?

I said him because while I remember that, I thought it was just the Final Four he wouldn't be doing, but during the regular season, he'd still be doing games for CBS. If not, then hooray.

I always got a kick out of Walton. Some sillyness is good every now and then.
