Blogging the Bases: Milestone Night for Craig and Frank
6/29/07
.png)
Covering all the bases from a Thursday in baseball ...
Craig Biggio hits 3,000 and more Astros 8, Rockies 5 Great night in Houston, capped by Carlos Lee hitting a grand slam walk-off in the bottom of the 11th. I posted my thoughts and reaction to Biggio last night.
Big Hurt Get 500th HR Min 8, Tor 5 Frank Thomas has never been among my favorite (might be the White Sox thing) but I've always respected him because there's little doubt he's done it the right way. Maybe not last night, getting tossed from the game, but the right way. "''This means a lot to me because I did it the right way,'' he said. ''I always worked hard in that weight room to be strong. I'm a big guy, and I've been blessed with this talent.'' Thumbs up the Twins for making the moment just as special on the road.
Padres Roll the Dice on Milton Bradley Considering that every team has expressed sweet relief when he's moved on, that's not a game I'd like to play.
Pirates Fans Have Had It! Arrrrr! To protest or not to protest All in favor of any organized fan effort to make a statement. That's the only way you as a fan can have an effect on the organization. Here's to hoping the protest goes better than the Lions' attempts.
Feel free to add on to anything I've left out.
