On October 3, 1951, Bobby Thomson hit what may be the most famous home run not just the history of the Giants organization, but the entire MLB.  "The shot heard 'round the world" won the game for the New York Giants, and clinched the NL pennant over the Brooklyn Dodgers in the bottom of the ninth in game 3 of a 3-game pennant playoff series.  Last night, after his health had been failing for several years, Thomson passed away at the ripe old age of 86.  RIP, Bobby, your walk-off winner will never be forgotten.
