Can Joe Mauer hit above .400 this season?
The closest anyone has come to hitting .400 in modern baseball (last 30 years) is George Brett hitting .390 in 1980. Tony Gwynn was at .394 in 1994 when the strike started.
The odds are obviously against Mauer, but you never know.
Either way, Mauer is sure to go down as one the greatest hitters in MLB history if he stays healthy for most of his career.
