Celtics license plates take 3 years to be made
Well... it's obvious where priorities are in Massachusetts. Not the Celtics, that's for damn sure.
READ MORE:
When the Commonwealth of Massachusetts started making Red Sox and Patriots license plates, they sold like hotcakes. The state has a policy with new license plates, where they only start making them when 1,500 are ordered.

For the Patriots and Red Sox plates came out, they reached 1,500 almost immediately. The Bruins took a little longer, but still only 5 months to reach the magic number.

The Celtics, on the other hand, are clearly #4 on the totem pole. Celtics license plates were first offered in 2006, and last month, the 1500th plate was finally ordered, allowing the state to start making them. Congrats, Celtics fans. You're #4!

Well its not like the Celtics are by far and away the most successful franchise in Massachusetts or anything.

I say I'm planning on getting a Red Sox plate, but would never get a Celtics one, even though I love the team.

Someone should call Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and let him know Pat is upset. Just joking Pat.

Some people collect these as memorabilia, but in this case I think you have to have a car title to get one.

Probably, those University plates are popular amongst non-sports fans as well.
