Florida Gators defensive coordinator Charlie Strong will be introduced as the new head coach of the Louisville Cardinals on either Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning, the Miami Herald has learned.

According to a team source, Strong has accepted an offer and all that remains is a formal meeting of the Louisville Board of Trustees to approve the hire. According to ESPN.com, that meeting is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the Louisville Courier-Journal, Strong was Louisville's top choice to replace fired coach Steve Kragthorpe.

Well it is about time. This man should have been a head coach a long time ago.

I hate to see you go Charlie but you deserve it. Thank for all you have done for Florida. Good luck to you and Louisville.

All I got to say is you better watch out Big East there is a new Sheriff in town and he will bring the pain!
