I applaud the mindset, and the fact that he realizes it's slowing them down. Pretty soon a ton of schools are going to say "Screw it" and start doing like WVU and scouting guys by the technique exhibited in foot chases with police.
I have to go with Renegade on this one. He is just saying what every one else is thinking and wishes they could say. If he were of a different color palate this would not be news or as big of news.

What? Like mauve?
Mauve? Good try! If Charlie was black this may not be huge news, but due to Notre Dame's piss poor handling of Ty's situation, it was poorly done.
It is a sad reality. I don't blame the players. I blame the coaches, I blame the boosters, and I blame the system. You show some of these kids that regardless of what education they get, as long as they perform in athletics they are good to go. There are too many examples out there to begin with. But it is a dangerous game that it is being played. What you are seeing now even more is not just black athletes, but hispanic, south pacific and even more now, white athletes are being taken advantage of. I remember an article about a white USF player who's wife called him out stating that the guy could barely read.
The real question is are they student-athletes or just athletes pretending to be students?
