Chiefs fans are petitioning for the team to release Larry Johnson after offensive comments
Chiefs fans are fed up with Larry Johnson, and don't want him holding the team's all-time rushing record.
19
After Larry Johnson's tirade against coach Todd Haley, and then his subsequent use of homophobic slurs on his Twitter account, Chiefs fans are fed up with his antics, and don't want him to have the chance to be their franchise's all-time leading rusher.

Right now, he's only 75 yards shy. One decent game, and he's a part of Chiefs history, until someone else comes along to beat him, and that might take a while.

Are they overreacting? Or is it indeed time to cut ties with LJ?

i think that would be a dumb decision to get rid of him, but you gotta think if they play him their fans won't be to happy and they might not get alot of ticket sales. were their at i dont think it would be smart to give up ticket sales

Or Detroit.  His "I make way more money than you" tweets would go over real big there...

Great idea. Then maybe he'd retire. The Browns have already made Jamal Lewis want to retire.

I would say send him to Chicago, but after 5 minutes of trying to run behind the Bears offensive line he might run back to Kansas City.  It seems like the Chiefs might be looking for a reason to get rid of him.  This must have been building for a while.

Sad franchise when Larry Johnson has a chance to own your rushing record.

Chiefs fans have been fed up with LJ for the past 3 years, it hasn't been anything that just popped up recently. I can understand why most fans don't want to him to be a part of Chiefs history, fans still take character into what they think of their professional players in KC, and doesn't want some bigot who beats women as their top rusher in team history where far better people off the field, like Priest Holmes or Christian Okoye would be behind him.

Please tell me who is your teams rushing leader is and number 2 and number 3. I hope you realize the Eagles top 3 and Chiefs top 3 are hardly that far off from each other and unless you want to call your favorite team a "sad franchise" as well, I would ask you as kindly as possible to shut up.

Here is the list:
#1.  Priest Holmes-6070.  2001-2007
#2.  Larry Johnson- 5638.  2003-
#3.  Christian Okoye- 4451.1987-1992
LJ also holds the record for most yard in a season at 1789 in 2006 and 1750 in 2005.
LJ also has the record for rushing yards in consecutive seasons at 3538 from 2005-2006.

He has always had an attitude problem, get rid him, as he is past his prime anyway.

Being LJ is now 75 yards shy, he's up to 5995 yards.

Did you need a calculator?  You asked for the list, I gave it to you.

Can't someone tell these guys to stay off of this Twitter and stop twating!!  Does anyone really know if it was LJ?  As a pro football player surely he can't be on Twitter lashing out at the word in 125 words or less..

I did not ask for a list, I asked if Superbleeder, who called the Kansas City Chiefs a "sad franchise" because LJ has a chance of taking the franchise lead in rushing yards. I asked him to compare his teams top 3 rushers (The Eagles) to the Chiefs. I already knew, thanks though.

I totally agree.  Anytime a player does or says things detrimental to the team or sports image should be fined and fined heavily.  NASCAR has this rule and I hope that the NFL adopts it.  Id like to see that money go to a former players union that didnt get LJ kind of money but sacrificed their bodies for the sport.

Any where i can find these mean nasty words of his?  Before i start arguing with everyone?  Any one who has never used to word fag (if he used this term?) to refer to someone is a liar or a god of some sort and should not be on faniq arguing over this.  Go write a poem under a rainbow.
