You just may have heard that Cincinnati Bearcats coach Brian Kelly is now the head coach of Notre Dame, thereby making the head coach of Cincinnati no longer. And this also means Kelly will not be coaching the Bearcats in their BCS game. Surprisingly, some players on the team are a bit pissed off that Kelly left town before the school's biggest game in its history.

Several Bearcat players expressed their anger with Kelly after being told of his departure for Notre Dame before last night's team football banquet—hours after it had been reported by the media. Their annoyance stems from the fact that they were supposed to be the first to know about Kelly's decision, in addition to the fact that many had the understanding that Kelly wasn't going anywhere.

More than a few players openly told the media that Kelly said days before he accepted the Notre Dame gig that he had told players he would be remaining at Cincy.

Anyway, let's just say that Kelly better follow the advice of receiver Marcus Gilyard:

"Hopefully he packs his things up and gets to South Bend in a hurry."
