Cleveland Browns G.M. George Kokinis appears to have been fired
Looks like Cleveland Browns G.M. George Kokinis has been fired
READ MORE:
Things sure are going well it Cleveland. And by well I mean "to hell in a handbasket."

Rumors are floating that Cleveland Browns G.M. George Kokinis has been fired. He was escorted out of the Browns building today, the first business day into the team's bye week.

What makes this even more interesting is that Kokinis was hand picked by Mangini to be the G.M.  In many cities, the G.M. supervises the head coach and holds "final say" authority over the roster.  In Cleveland, Kokinis was second fiddle to Mangini.

So does this Mangini is not long for the coaching job himself? Browns fans can only hope so.

Here's thought QUIT getting rid of players that have any type of talent, then go out on any street corner hand the first person you see a football and if they can throw it and hit so much as the ground your moving in the right direction, cause Derek isn't getting it done.

Yes he did so far I thinking he has the most intelligence in the front office and that's not saying much.

The way the Browns have been playing, someone should be fired. I love the Browns but even I want to watch other games because of their play

I'm not a brown's fan, alpha, but I agree wholeheartedly with you.  Which begs the question....Why the heck did they hire a coach who was basically run out of New York (the Jets no less), whose players neither liked nor trusted him, and then give him total control?  In fact, his only claim of fame to date has been ratting out the patriots for taping illegally.....something I'm sure they didn't do while he was there.

That's an incredibly bad team.  I think anyone who still says "Man-genius" anymore is subject to deportation at this point.

I'm sorry, but I'm not seeing how firing your GM at this point in a train wreck of a season helps anything. This doesn't make the Browns suck any less, and that's the purpose of personnel moves - to decrease your suckability. Just not seeing it.

yes they do, they need to fire the old team even downt o the coached and draft new players, and find a head coach and a new GM too

Damn this is good news, it was getting Matt Millenish in the organization.  They really need to scrap and rebuild.

I'd say it'd stop his dumbass from making anymore horrible moves that could dig the hole deeper.

I get your point, but it's kinda hard to bring in any other players that suck. He's already signed them all.

Like I said on the other post board.... Somebody had to pay, the coach won't be fired after 8 games, would that be a new record? yeah, Mangini is lackluster, he shows no anger at press conferences. He mumbles excuses. I think this was done to satisfy the fans. I know, its not much, but, he was the only guy to kick. I'm sure Eric has got an ear full by now to.

I've been calling him Man-need-a-genie lately, the whole team could use one right about now.
