Clinton Portis may be sidelined for the year with a concussion
This is just what the Redskins needed. Clinton Portis may be done for the year.
The season from hell for the Redskins continues unabated, and this time it looks like it's Clinton Portis who's done for the season.

Portis received a vicious concussion in last week's game against the Falcons and he's officially out for this Sunday's game. But because his recovery hasn't been going so well, the team may just shut him down.

Frankly, what the hell is there to gain by bringing him back? Just have him sit out the rest of the season and let him come back next year fully healthy. Although, that probably won't do much good for this team either, but whatever.

Shut it down, Clinton.  We'll need you next year.

sigh.  there are some days I hate going to work and having no internet, no radio, no tv, nothing for 8 hours.  Then sometimes I'm grateful I don't have to be depressed half way through the day.

I give up.  I think I'll just go back to watching CFL and ignore the NFL again :(

That's a shame for Redskins fans.  Luckily for Clinton Portis, Urban Meyer and Bob Stoops are college coaches.  If he was on their team, we all know that he'd be playing this week.

i say it's bad for the skins but given the o-line portis is smart to stay away for the rest of the season

f**k it, i say have open tryouts to everyone in maryland.
if thats no good.... i say let all back ups start for the rest of the season on offense. except jason campbell i want him to keep taking hits. not only will never start another game in the NFL after this season but i want him to retire.

i feel like ive spent enough time watching jason campbell grow into another redskin early drafted sorry qb. you remember heath shuler right? enough said. whatr about patrick ramsey? now lets add jason to the list.

who u want me to blame, the qb's or the person drafting them or the qb coach? someone needs to be fired for this. i just see TOO much talent on this team to be 2-6. i see tons of potential in jason but this isnt the team thats going to bring it out of him.

i might as well keep ranting... jason's contract is almost up. i highly doubt we will take another chance with him. keep in mind hes probably thinking he wants to keep playing in the NFL after the year is up. Something he should know is that the whole time here in DC he was being scouted by other teams. when free agent signing time comes and everyone is scrambling for a back up or starter, jason will never be a starter for another based off what he did in washington. a back up sure......if that. he doesnt have the greatest of offensive linemen but u have to make due with what u got or at least leave it all on the field.

as for clinton portis i truly feel sorry for the guy. the redskins red up this guys career. in denver he was averaging about 1500 a season. here in dc not the same. as a bronco he was a sure shot hall of famer. i just dont see that happening here in dc. BUT when portis does take the field, he does exactly as i mentioned b4 and leaves it all on the field. not just a hall of famer but if he stayed in denver for the rest of his career or even stayed away from dc he would finish much higher on the all time rushing list compared to whats going to happen at the end of his career now.

laron landry......overrated. sean taylor made this guy.....the end. trade him or suffer watching more missed tackles.if u dont believe me go look at hortons rookie season stats, and compare them to landrys and tell me whats wrong with that picture.

sorry about the sorry punctuations and non capital letters. im so used to typing on my blackberry phone which auto corrects everything for me.
