- Iowa full back Brad Rogers announced his retirement from the game on Friday after suffering numerous injuries throughout his career.

- Florida cornerback Loucheiz Purifoy had his possession of marijunana charges dropped on Friday afternoon due to a lack of evidence.

- ESPN is set to retain the TV rights to the Big East Conference after both sides reportedly agreed to a six-year, $20 million deal on Saturday.

- The NCAA Executive Committee “unanimously affirmed its confidence” in Mark Emmert Saturday, ending any rumors that he’d soon be terminated as President.

- Lane Kiffin added three assistant coaches this weekend to go along with his new-look USC Trojan football staff.
