It wasn't as if the Flames played poorly or gave away a 5 goal lead, but still the red hot Colmbus Blue Jackets, led by Rick Nash, gave them their third straight loss.
The Flames seemed poised to have a season guaranteed to get them to the playoffs, coming out and winning 4 straight. However, their first loss, to the Dallas Stars, was followed by the mess against the Chicago Blackhawks. Tonight, Kiprusoff stopped all but two shots. Steve Mason stopped all but one.
They are now at 4-3, and stand to fall to .500 if they can't win against the Canucks later this week.
