Crosby to Return to Lineup Monday Night

The Pens have said they would announce Sidney Crosby's return one day before he comes back, and they kept their word.  Breaking news out of Pittsburgh says that Sid will finally make his long-awaited return Monday night against the Islanders.

Whether you like him or not, you have to be glad he is making a return to the game.  He has been out for nearly a year, but as I've said during his entire absence, he did it the right way, staying sidelined until he and his doctors felt he was ready and 100% healthy.  At such a young age (24), you never want to see a guy who still has his whole career in front of him have a career-ending injury by coming back too soon.  He'll return to the lineup tomorrow and the wait is over.  While the Pens have had a hiccup the last 2 games in Florida, this will only improve the team once he gets his "sea legs" back per se.  Already sitting atop the Eastern Conference, this could be trouble for every other team with how well the Pens have played without him.
