Cuban left handed pitcher Aroldis Chapman defected from the Cuban national team while they were in the Netherlands. He apparently just disappeared from his hotel during a tournament that Cuba was playing there.

I'm all for it when these guys get out of there to make a better life for themselves, but it's a little discomforting to see that he's leaving family in Cuba. Things will definitely not get better for them after this.

1	IF they can get away. That's not as easy as it sounds. The Cuban government isn't going to be thrilled that he left.
