Cubs trade Jake Fox and Aaron Miles

I was upset when I found out that the Cubs had traded Jake Fox. He was one of the only Cubs players to put up solid numbers in the second half of the season except for Derrick Lee. A-Ram is still going to be injury prone next season and Fox can play in the outfield as well as 3rd base. I was glad they did get rid of Aaron Miles though. He played terrible last season.

I do see where the Cubs were coming from by trading away Jake Fox. They want him to have his chance to play everyday in which they don't feel that he would in Chicago. He would of been a pitch hitter unless A-Ram got hurt again.

In the trade the Cubs got Jeff Gray, minor league outfielder Matt Spencer and minor league righty Ronny Morla. Jeff Gray sounds like he could become a dominate force in the bullpen.

Enjoy the article that I posted above. It gives a little more detail to the trade. Post your comments on the trade and let me know what you think.
