Tom Ricketts and his family took ownership of the Chicago Cubs and wasted no time making a promise to the team’s long-suffering fans: They will bring a World Series title to a team that has gone 101 years without one.
I love his attitude. Ricketts is a motivator and loves to win, and that's fine by me.
A little off-topic, but why do people use the phrases "loves to win" and "hates to lose" as a compliment for a person or team, does anyone honestly ever hate to win or love to lose?

The best thing Ricketts said today is that he's committed to rebuilding the minor league system. I hope he means it. You have to develop some of your own guys.
I love it how Ricketts said that the decision was up to Jim on weather Milton Bradley would be back next year. The owner's job is to own the team, not get in the middle of it all like other owners do. Jim is the GM and that is his job to do.
Thats a nice attitude and a bold prediction, but it seems like it would be easier to part the Lake Michigan waters than to win the World Series right now.
