DT Ed Johnson was released from the Colts on Tuesday afternoon, which is the second time in two years the Colts parted ways with Johnson. His first departure from the team was for getting stopped along I-465 in Indianapolis for a traffic violation (and possession of Marijuana) after playing one game in the 2008 season.
This departure is very surprising considering how well the Colts' D has been performing this season. Even more suspicious in that Johnson was welcomed back to the team for training camp but put on a "tight leash" for any violations of conduct, however team officials have been tight lipped on his release this time.
All I can say now is, Good Luck Ed, wherever you land.
