Proving once again that NASCAR fans really don't care that much about winning, Dale Earnhardt is still #1 among NASCAR drivers in merchandise sales, despite a 51-race winless streak.

Pat you bastage!  

Dale Jr will be number one and likely sales will rise now that the movie Dale has been released to the masses by WalMart.  Tony Stewart had the lead earlier this year, probably by virtue of his new team, but Dale Jr will persevere and really no one should be surprised by that.

I still buy Sr's stuff. I buy some of Jr's stuff. I'm still on of his num 1 followers and always will be. I loved his dad I love him. He's Just like his dad. His dad had his losing streaks now Jr is. Just wait his year is just around the corner. Hahahaha could that mean next yr? That's why they call them slumps. Mark Martin had one. Jimmie Johnson had one. Jeff has them, Tony has them. So why is e1 beating up on JR? Give him a break. It's just not his year.

i mean seriously thats ALL he does is BASH Junior for being so popular....i guess 18 wins isn't anything nowadays? and a Daytona 500 win and back to back Nationwide Championships....Junior has hit a rough patch oh well all racers do....give the guy a break....now bash on someone like let's say Michael Waltrip....he is up there on the popular drivers list and he hasn't done jack crap for years now!

Personally, I don't like or dis-like Jr, I am Ford Racing all the way, but I do think that his fan base came from his Dad. Even though I don't pull for Chevy drivers I can't deny that Dale Earnhardt Sr was a hell of a stock car driver and BTW what attitude!

Please don't make me post the statistics on Joonyer suckiness over the past 4 years. 18 wins..blah blah blah. How many since he's joined Hendrick Motorsports? Looks like all the other HMS cars are fighting to win the Championship right now. Where is Joonyer?

 Nah I'm not trying to convert you, lol. It's just comical to view your lame attempts at trying to justify his suckiness. It's like me trying to tell you that Terrelle Prior is the best QB in college football because he won some high school championships and was the #1 sought after recruit in the nation. Now that he's here at TheOSU...he looks like crap and wasn't worth all the hype. See my analogy to Jooner? Now that's he with HMS he drives even worse than he did in the 8.

I don't think I need to. You Joonyer fans have suffered enough with his 24th in point standings. He is only 42 points ahead of AJ frickin Allmendinger, LOL who doesn't even have a full time sponsor in the #44 car this year. He has raced for NO PAYCHECK on a couple of occasions this year due to sponsorship woes. Joonyer is well behind stellar drivers Casey Mears, Marcos Ambrose, Jamie McMurray and Joey Logano. Joonyer only has 2 top-fives and 5 top-tens. Sam Hornish Jr has 2 top-fives and 7 top-tens. The only reason he's behind Joonyer is because he has more DNFs. Those are some damning statistics against Joonyer.

But yeah, Joonyer can win most popular driver if it makes ya'll feel better about him. He would probably trade that award for a rare top ten finish. Luckily for you guys, we're at Talladega this week, one of two tracks he is capable of winning at.

The analogy to Terrelle Pryor and Joonyer was because it shows someone who was also extremely overrated and now that he's here, he is a disappointment (so far). I'm sorry you couldn't comprehend that. It is relevant because Diablorain is continually bringing up Joonyer winning 2 Busch Championships which obvioulsy don't matter in the Big Leagues. Like...really?? That's all you've got? 18 wins is fine, but how many in the last 5 years? Don't bother checking, I've looked it up for you. He has 3 whole wins all by himself since 2005. Ya.

Now please keep arguing with me about this....
