Dale Earnhardt Jr out two races with concussion
If you watched any of the post-race interviews, you saw Dale Earnhardt Jr holding and rubbing his head. It was commented about widely on twitter.
Well, yesterday Dale Jr visted the doctor and was told what we suspected, he has a concussion.
Due to the serious nature of that injury, and the potential for even more injury if driving, Dale Jr has been ordered out of the car for two race by his physician. Regan Smith will drive the 88 at Charlotte and Kansas, with Dale returning to driving duties in Martinsville, if everything checks out okay.
Dale Jr. will address the media at 11am ET, so we may hear more on the situation. In the meantime, I wish him the best. Yesterday was also his birthday but not, I'm sure, the way he wanted to celebrate.
