Evidently one of the Cowboys cheerleaders decided to dress up like Lil Wayne for Halloween and the organization is not too pleased....especially after the pics got leaked on the internet. What do you think - over the top?
Who really cares. And before anyone starts with the "she is a role model" routine, I beg to differ. A cheerleader is not a role model and if there are kids out there that think that then the parents need to take a look at themselves as parents. I find it funny how this was offensive, or whatever, but its okay for a white person to dress up like Michael Jackson. Which brings me back to my original point of who cares. How she chose to dress for HALLOWEEN is not going to affect any of us and our daily lives. Anything for a story I guess though.

Okay.....really?!! Are they serious?!!! I mean, why is this even news?!! We lost a record number of soldiers last month in Afghanistan, and they are worrying about and trying to make something (out of nothing) over what this cheerleader wore to a Halloween party?!! Give us a break......PLEASE!! I am a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan (and I have been for years), but this is ridiculous!!! With the state of our world today, can we try to focus on something that's meaningful, because truly, this is not!!

Not to mention dressing up as a ho (lots of ladies do not all) isn't worse...yeah slutty nurse outfit I love it

LOL!! Didn't mean to get on my "soap box"! But this is a story not even worthy of printing!
This should be a ridiculous issue and NO there should not be any story here..... but.... believe me in Big D it is probably a MAJOR deal. I lived in Dallas and knew some of the Cheerleaders. Actually had 4 of them that lived next door and right above us for 2 yrs. One would not believe the restrictions and expectations placed on the Cowboy Cheerleaders by the people that run that group. They believe they are bigger than Michael Jackson in Japan. The administration and management of the Cowboy Cheerleaders (and some of the girls) have egos and expectations that would equal or exceed ANY hollywood movie star, MultiMillion dollar athlete / pop star, or Billionaires debutant DIVA daughter. It is unbelievable and absolutely unthinkable to me WHY any girl would want to be subjected to the scrutiny and tyranny that is the Cowboy Cheerleaders.... but they always have thousands of applications every year at tryout time so evidently there are alot of gals out there that crave the attention enough to be able to deal with the nonsense that is the Cheerleaders bible of conduct.
I see NOTHING WRONG with her choice in her Halloween outfit......She just want to give the TREATERS a little shock treatment fun!! And the Media something to CRY ABOUT!!!! Leave that Woman alone!!!!
Its Halloween for ghostly sakes. Why does the media go for something this asinine to write about? Who cares what she dressed up as. I don't think its a radical issue! I don't think she was out to hurt anyone. I think they are taken it a bit far. I give her a 10 just for dressing up. I stayed home and passed out candy. Had some kid tell me he didn't like what I handed out.
I told him don't come next year because I will give him a tooth brush.
To the Dallas Cowboy cheerleader YOU GO GIRL.
I agree with everyone else. This is a non issue. I think that being a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader opens doors to other opoprtunities once they are finished, but come on, aren't you supposed to dress up the best that you can without anyone knowing who you are on Halloween? I think that she did a great job at it and should be commended for her work. I also think that Lil Wayne would get a kick out of it. Please Let it go!
C'mon Cowboys Organization, Chill! Its OK! Leave the poor girl alone! Havent you dadburncottonpickin' idiots ever heard of FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION??? You SHOULD!!!
It better not be about her going in blackface. If it is, then where was the outrage about the movie White Chicks? And I agree with LuvMeSumCowboys...there's more important things going on, things that even the sports channels can focus on instead
What wrong with her going as Lil Wayne. I am sure he is getting a kick out of it. It just shows that his music is crossing boundaries. Maybe thats what they are scared of.....................
Life is to short to take things that serious. Halloween was suppose to be the one day you can play dress up and be anything you wanted to be. Just let it go.
First Uv All, STFU About Cheerleader's... :P They Have Nothing To Do With Fotoball, Only Perverted Guy's. ( Thats Why The Steelers Dont Have Them. :) ...)
An d Secondly, GIVE ME A BREAK! THis IS Rediculus, It's A Halloween Joke, Get Over It Ppl...
Wordsmith, first of all, I thought I (as well as all the other people who made a comment on here.......Ha! Even you) had the freedom of speech! Please correct me if I'm wrong! Obviously, you don't think the war and deaths of our soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq are important?!! Duh!!! Silly me for thinking so!! My reason for bringing it into this discussion (as others have brought other topics into this to make a comparison to the article at hand) is because I was trying to state that there is so much more going on in our world (of importance) that should be written about other than what a cheerleader wore as a costume to a party! Since you seem to be so unsympathetic to this war, maybe you should go over there and fight in it! Perhaps then, you'll have some compassion and get a heart!! Man, please!!!

Thank you Celticfc411 for agreeing with me about there being other things more important going on in our world! However, can you believe a person responded to my comment by asking why did I even bring the war in Afghanistan into the discussion?!! Talk about being surprised by that question! Anyway, thanks again, and not just for agreeing with what I said, but also for serving our country so that we can enjoy the freedom that we have! I salute you soldier!!!
OH MY GAWD! Do I really need to say this to the media?? GROW THE F### UP YOU PATHETIC LOSERS! WTF! That's why they call it 'dressing up'. You look like someone/thing else for a few hours of the year. Is Disney going to start suing LITTLE KIDS for dressing up like princesses? The dead going to sue teenagers for dressing up like zombies? F-ing Dracula going to take out those impersonating HIM?? I sincerely doubt it. Get over it, it was a COSTUME. Do you KNOW what that means?? SHE. WAS. HAVING. FUN. Get laid or something. I'm sure you can find something better to report on than a halloween cosume.
As a black man working every day to be respected in a white male-dominated industry, I find any act of wearing blackface to be horribly offensive. Just because she's not a role model (which might be debated by the harpies who run the DCC program) doesn't mean she can't at least reach the lowest bar for common human decency (Oh wait... she's a cheerleader. Crap).
To the guy who dressed as Charles Barkley: I want you to lie to all of us and say that your (one) "black friend" found it as funny as the all-white people at the party. C'mon... I DARE you!
To the rest of the clueless commentors who are somehow blaming "the media": This isn't a story, but an illustration of a horrible attitude that is blithely ignored. Simply put: You can't cry "Freedom of Expression" unless you're willing to accept "Consequences of your Actions" (See: Calling your older brother a "fag" in front of his friends, or burning an American flag in front of a war veteran. Both are examples of things you should be allowed to do, but should expect to get your *ss kicked for).
Remember: We only wish society moved as fast as the calendar... Racism still exists: In spades (pun intended). Tolerance of ignorance is what screws everybody.
That said: My preference would have been for her to go as a Carolina Panthers cheerleader (Mmmmm... Hot Lesbian Action), the standard slut/ho/naughty nurse/witch/schoolgirl, or at the very least have the courtesy to let her date knock that grille out... on her headboard.
Sexism > Racism > Classism (See? I have my own biases...)
