The Redskins are having a terrible season, that much is certain and undebatable.
Jim Zorn hasn't proven to be the second year coach we hoped and anticipated. Jason Campbell isn't proving his worth as a quarterback and dissention in the locker room has fans staying away from the field in droves. After all, with the economy in the toilet and a win out of the question, why would a fan want to shell out a ton of money to see them lose?
Redskins' owner Dan Snyder has been relatively quiet, until recently, offering little in the way of hope, explanation or excuse.
Now, he has spoken out, and by some accounts, he is contrite, remorseful and supportive. He says,
"I think, number one, I feel bad for the fans. I feel sorry for the fans. We're very, very appreciative of our great, loyal fan base. And I'm understanding. I mean, we just feel terrible. We're disappointed and we're embarrassed. And we hope to get it going soon."
Unfortunately, he didn't offer any solutions, plans or hope, so thanks a bunch Dan, but it's still just smoke and mirrors.
