Derek Jeter's defense is apparently improving, likely due to the fact that he doesn't have to field all those home runs

With guys jacking the ball out of Yankee Stadium at an unreal rate, Derek Jeter's defense is statistically improving. Mainly because he doesn't have to field home runs.

It doesn't matter what Yankees fans say, Derek Jeter is a poor defensive shortstop. There are a million analytical studies to definitively prove this. However, it appears Jeter has improved quite a bit this year defensively.

Why? I'll say because he doesn't have to field the ball much anymore, what with everyone jacking home runs at New Coors Field, I mean Yankee Stadium.

0	His angles have improved as has his positioning, but the range hasn't improved whatsoever, he's still a below average outside-his-range player. His 10 out-of-zone plays is the lowest for anyone with 100 in-zone plays. By comparison, Jason Bartlett has 33 out-of-zone plays.
