Despite attempts by Isiah Thomas to avoid UNC, Florida International will play the Tar Heels

In an attempt to give his team a slight chance at a season-opening win, Isiah Thomas tried to force the Coaches vs Cancer tournament folks to let his Florida International team to play Ohio State instead of North Carolina. Not surprisingly, they didn't back down, and Thomas will be stuck with an almost guaranteed loss.
