Never mix business and pleasure. Words to live by. But apparently ESPN doesn't roll that way.

You may remember a few weeks ago after the Steve Phillips affair story broke, the influential sports blog Deadspin went for broke and started naming various individuals at ESPN who had been involved in inter-office affairs. Deadspin was pissed that ESPN wasn't straightforward with them on the Phillips story, and they were also ready to see if ESPN would follow through on the Phillips and Brooke Hundley firings by firing other people who had had inter-office affairs.

Well, ESPN is sort of following through on that.

Programming VP David Berson, known for having had a long running affair with Senior VP of Marketing Kate Lacey, is having his contract terminated. And Lacey's is being terminated as well.

But here's the even better story, involving Suzy Kolber:

2) In one of the most notorious liaisons Jay Rothman, MNF producer (formerly SNF) temporarily left his wife and 4 kids for a very public fling with sideline reporter Suzy Kolber a few years back. I'm sure many others can substantiate this. I'm obviously not going on record.

Man, Suzy Kolber is a homewrecker. Also explains how she got the MNF gig. Wonder when she'll be fired.

Anyway, ESPN is a mess, and I couldn't be happier.
