A gunman opened fire on coach Ed Thomas at Aplington-Parkersburg High School in Iowa this morning. My prayers go out to his family during this tragedy.

8	You know a lot of these shootings have to do with kids either on or just coming off of drugs from their psychiatrists. Those Psyche meds are NO GOOD!!!!! They do more harm then good from the side effects. FATHER GOD, I PLEAD THAT YOU HELP US ALL!!! My prayers to the coach and his family

5	It's so sad. I just don't understand what makes people resort to murder so often. Does it happen more often now, or do we simply hear about it more often, because of the instant news reporting available to us?

5	You just hear about it more. And i think our generation doesnt spend enough time raising their kids. We are too worried about being successful and making money rather than raising our children.

3	My heartfelt sympathies for the families, both of the coach who was only trying to do good in the world, and to the family of the shooter, who must be devastated and will have to live with this the rest of their lives. How very tragic for all of them.
