I personally look at this as "Elgin is freed from prison". He should been put of his misery a while ago. Even with his fingerprints over Clipper blunders, this steaming pile is not all his fault. I feel that even if he was Jerry West, this was a position doomed for failure. No GM could do any better as long as Donald T. Sterling is the owner. Donald is the NBA's version of a slum lord. 22 years and only a 3 playoff appearances and you don't lose your job? That's not out of loyalty, that is Sterling being cheap.
