Eric Wedge's job as manager of Cleveland Indians is safe according to GM Mark Shapiro
If you're Eric Wedge, Cleveland does indeed rock...
Although Eric Wedge has done virtually nothing the last season and a half, Cleveland GM Mark Shapiro has come out publicly once again to state that Wedge's job is not in jeopardy.

Translation: We love our 33-49 record and we'll be ready to trade all of our top players to the Yankees or Red Sox.

Either that or they'll trade them to the Brewers, then they'll go to the Yankees.

Eric Wedge's job is safe? Give me a dadburncottonpickin' break! I have been an Indians fan since 1995 for crying out loud! Eric Wedge is a horrible manager. Our pitching is shot, our defense is putrid, and we have injuries. And where is our heart? Where is our dadburncottonpickin' emotion for pete sake? DeRosa's gone, Dellucci's gone(thank goodness),  and soon Lee, Victor, and Sizemore will be gone as well. Another thing, we have a power shortage! Hafner's been hurt, Schoppach's been striking out way way way too much, and Peralta's been dadburncottonpickin' streaky as usual. The bottom line is we dadburncottonpickin' stunk!!! We totally stunk!!! No offence to Shin Soo Choo, but we've got to rebuild for the future; I mean we need fresh arms, we need new blood, Wedge' managerial record; 2 winning seasons in 7 years? C'mon! Hey hey ho ho, Eric Wedge has gotta go(and his coaching staff too)! I hate to say this but we've got to implode our roster and start all over again dadburnit!!! Let's bring back Hargrove as our skipper with Vizquel, and Tony Pena as his assisstants. Frank Viola will be his Pitching Coach. Batting Coach and 1st and 3rd base coaches, I don't know who will be filling in those positions, I'll have to think about that. But I'll say it again; we totally stunk up this dadburncottonpickin' joint. Sure we got talented players, but there's one problem: WE'VE GOT NO TEAM!!! I can't wait for this season to end. Heaven help us all!!!

We don't want Yankee pitty.  I have been a fan for about as long as Donley and let me say I think what did us wrong was last year we had a late season run and that wasn't good for the mental coming in this year.  Hafner being hurt jacked us up and trading off/letting go a lot of our relievers hurt too.  I don't blame it on Wedge it's not just his fault.  Granted I love Shapiro but I think the team we have now just has to many people either hurt (so they lost their stud status) or are just to young and have no place in the lineup or are just busts.  Not to mention Westbrook was gone too.  Cleveland's organization has done well so I'm not to worried just pains me to see the box score.
