F1 will host a race through the streets of Rome from 2012 onwards

Bernie Ecclestone, the big boss of F1 has announced today that from 2012 onwards, the historic streets of Rome will host a grand prix. The deal was announced a few months ago, but apparantly today, the project has been given the green light and the planning can begin.

 While this means more glamour for F1, sadly I think it will mean the end for another of the major tracks on the schedule perhaps Spa, Hockenheim or Hungaroring...hopefully not, but if this is another street course then I imagine the racing will be as poor as it is at Monaco...feel free to share your thoughts below
