The Flames' season seems to have been all about the ups and downs so far this season.  They started the season on a high note, winning 4 in a row, then dropped three in a row, before rebounding to win another three in a row.  It seems if the Flames are going to lose one, they will proceed to lose two or three.

Last night against the Columbus Blue Jackets, they lost, 3-2.  It was their second loss, after winning four in a row to bring in the new year.

Just like their season over all, their matchups with the Columbus Blue Jackets have been up and down.  The Blue Jackets handed the Flames their third loss of the season, back in October, but the Flames rebounded to defeat them resoundingly only seven days later.

In October, the Blue Jackets took the win, while November's game went to the Flames in a shoot out.  With this win, the Blue Jackets get the honors for winning the majority of games played against each other.  The teams will not meet again this year.

Mark Giordano and Rene Bourque scored for the Flames, while Raffi Torres and Antoine Vermette (2) were the scorers for the Blue Jackets.  Jarome Iginla stated the team just didn't make the scoring chances all night long.

Tonight the Flames take on the Vancouver Canucks in Vancouver.
