Floyd Mayweather Jr. beats Juan Manuel Marquez
Floyd Mayweather beats the living piss out of Juan Manuel Marquez. Let's hope that fight against Pacquiao comes soon.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. may be an enormous jackass, but I've always heard one thing about the guy: He works insanely hard to be as good as he can possibly be. He is a perfectionist.

Even though Mayweather came into the fight against Juan Manuel Marquez two pounds overweight, and had to give Marquez $600,000 as a result, he dominated the fight for all 12 rounds. It wasn't even close.

Now some people will point to the fact that Marquez was a 130-pounder just 18 months ago who moved up two weight classes for this fight. This of course gave Mayweather a big advantage. But whatever. Mayweather looked awesome.

Let's hope he lines up that fight with Pacquiao soon.

Floyd Mayweather proved that he's still the best boxer of my generation. He's a Legend of the sport. Still prevail despite the odds.

I hate to say I told you so.... just kidding, I love to say I told you so. I knew this fight wouldn't even be close, and it wasn't. Money is still the best there is, period. And what did this fight show to those of us who paid attention? Let me illustrate it for you.

JMM fought Pac Man twice and gave Manny everything he could handle. First there was a draw, even though Pac Man had knocked JMM down. That should tell you all you need to know about how badly JMM dominated Pac Man through the rest of that fight. Then in the 2nd fight JMM lost a 1 point decision.

Floyd didn't give up one single round to JMM. When you look at how much trouble Manny had with JMM and how easily Floyd dominated him... that spells trouble for Pac Man should he ever meet Floyd.

Next, the point that was made consistently during the fight: There is a reason why there are weight classes in boxing. A great little man is going to get pounded by a good big man, more often than not. A great little man takes on a great bigger man, like Floyd? The great little man will get owned, period. I think that means Pac Man is in trouble against Miguel Cotto, and this fight was a template for that. Cotto is a *lot* bigger than Pac Man.

The one thing I found pretty shocking in this fight? The way that Sugar Shane acted in the ring after it was over. I've always thought Shane was the classiest fighter in the pro ranks, but he acted like an ass when he got in Floyd's face when Floyd was being asked about his victory. That really was disrespectful. But I thought it was great when Floyd took the mike from Kellerman and said "You talk too much" and then Kellerman looked like he was about to cry lol.

So my prediction? Pac Man loses to Cotto and Floyd will sign a fight with Sugar Shane.

Ho hum..... This was the obvious outcome as Mayweather has yet to face a true peer in talent.  Many thought they were, but they were quickly brought into the reality of the moment, you're going to lose. PacMan is in trouble.  Floyd will not fight Manny's fight. Manny will be forced to fight Floyd's fight. I hate to use these comparisons because they are inaccurate, but for all the Pacman butt huggers who say "look at how Pac defeated ODLH and Hatton" and how it was more impressive than Floyd etc. Well, Marquez got his ass whipped last night. Whipped.  You can fight 100 fights and Floyd would never draw with JMM.

Fact of the matter is that Floyd has no true peer in talent. He's the best out there and all his fights seem boring to people who want to see a close fight, because nobody is close to Floyd.
