Blog Photo - Former Orioles manager Earl Weaver dead at age 82Legendary manager Earl Weaver has died at age 82.

Weaver is a member of the Hall of Fame, thanks to his work with the Baltimore Orioles from 1968-1982, and 1985-1986.

Weaver was one of the most colorful characters in Major League Baseball, and was well known for his tirades towards umpires.

Weaver famously said that his tombstone should read "the sorest loser that ever lived."

Fortunately for Weaver, he did an awful lot of winning in his day.

His overall record was 1480-1060, for a .583 winning percentage. His Orioles won the American League Pennant 4 times, and won the World Series in 1970.
