Former manager Whitey Herzog and umpire Doug Harvey were elected to the baseball Hall of Fame

The Veterans Committee has elected former Rangers, Angels, Cardinals and Royals manager Whitey Herzog to the Hall of Fame, along with umpire Doug Harvey. Herzog won the National League pennant 3 times, and won the World Series in 1982. His overall record as a manager was 1281-1125. Harvey umpired for 31 years. They'll be inducted on July 25 of next year.
