They don't hate them...it's the Apple Cup silly. (OK they feel sorry for us Washington fans...we have so little to be happy about, leave it be.)

I agree with Jess. The big guys can't always get the televised games. You gotta throw a bone to the other fans every once in awhile. Besides, i've bitched and complained about some of the games they have televised this season and some have turned out to be some pretty damn good games.

Normally, the networks do a good job of broadcasting the rivalry games and from this Saturday thru next Saturday, it is rivalry week in college football.  The game may not mean much to 3/4's of the nation but it does mean something to those fans in the Pacific Northwest.

You're right... the #1 draft pick is at stake here.

Dont forget bragging rights of Washington on the line and all the apples you can eat.  If that isnt enough to entice people to watch the game then nothing will

It can't be all bad. Washington did keep 2 of it's losses in single digits.
Washington State didn't, but they did beat powerhouse* Portland State.

By powerhouse I mean 3-7 and near the bottom of the Big Sky conference.

The Rotten Apple Cup should be a dozy this year.

Look this game does mean a lot to those outside of Washington, sure nearly all of them are degenerate gamblers but it matters none the less.

I'm looking forward to this being an exciting game, and not just because I'm a WSU girl - and here's why: this is a fairly evenly matched game, and being rivals, both teams will come out on fire. It may not mean much in the grand scheme of things, but at least it'll be entertaining.
