Frankie Edgar Named No. 1 Contender, Will Fight BJ Penn at UFC 112 in Abu Dhabi

On April 10th, the UFC will travel to Abu Dhabi for UFC 112. The fight card is already scheduled to hold a title fight as the main event — Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort for the 185 lb. title — but it appears as if a second title fight will be added to the card.

UFC president Dana White has announced today that Frankie Edgar (11-1) is the No. 1 contender and he will get the next crack at B.J. Penn’s lightweight title.
