Gamblers not worried about Ben Roethlisberger rape allegations affecting Steelers' Super Bowl chances

I know a lot of Steelers fans out there are a bit jittery over this Ben Roethlisberger rape accusation. I mean, even though he probably didn't rape that woman, that accusation is going to be hanging over his head all season. That's never a good thing.

But here's some good news, folks! Degenerate gamblers aren't worried about the Steelers' chances of winning the Super Bowl at all. Man, is that ever comforting.

This is my favorite line of the article:

Richard Barnhart, 59, of Carson City, Nev., who was in the town's Nugget Casino, compared Mr. Roethlisberger's situation to that of Kobe Bryant, the Los Angeles Lakers basketball star who was charged with sexual assault in 2003.

"He went through something like this and now they're the [NBA] champions," said Mr. Barnhart, who also expects Mr. Roethlisberger's teammates to rally around him.

Uh, yes, Kobe won that NBA Championship 6 years later. If you bet on Kobe for the 2003-2004 season, you were out of luck.

Anyway, if it helps you sleep at night Steelers fans, at least a bunch of degenerates in Nevada are on your side.
