Team USA's World Cup hopes ended Saturday when Asamoah Gyan's goal early in extra time lifted Ghana to a 2-1 win.  Once again, the Americans fell behind early as Ghana scored in the 4th minute off a beautiful strike by Kevin-Prince Boateng.  The US tied it in the 61st minute when Landon Donovan scored off a penalty kick when Clint Dempsey was taken down in the box.  Both Michael Bradley and Jozy Altidore had golden opportunities to put the US up by a goal in the 2nd half but neither could put the ball in the net.  Ghana was able to capitalize on there only chance in extra time to go ahead and eventually win the match

Ghana moves on to face Uruguay in the quarterfinals next Friday.
