Giants DT Fred Robbins Looks to the Past to Control The Giants Future
Looks like the New York Giants coaching staff has been keeping the team focused on this week's opponents, the Oakland Raiders.  At 1-3 the Raiders aren't an imposing force.  And with a trip to the SuperDome looming next week, the Giants may be tempted to look ahead.  But according to Giants DT Fred Robbins, the team is using a little bit of history instead of peering into the future.

"This is still the NFL though and anybody can be beat. Last year we were undefeated going into the Cleveland game and they came out and played their best game. We didn’t play our best game and we got beat. You can’t take anything for granted in this league, if a team has its back to the wall they’re going to come out fighting. Cleveland gave us a loss last year, and that one loss could have made a difference when it came time for making the playoffs.

We’re a good team and we’re doing some good things, but we still have to prepare for a fight against Oakland. Their record might not indicate it but they have some good players."

That was an embarrassing 35-14 loss.  BTW the Giants record going into that game was 4-0.  Cleveland's was 1-3.  Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.

I still vote for a Giant win because this time they know their history so never repeat it
